At Verge we’re committed to practicing therapy informed by science while not losing sight of you as a unique individual/couple/family.

We collaborate with you to find a therapy approach aligned with your personal values and goals so you can progress towards wholeness and wellbeing in a meaningful way.

Flexible Delivery.

We offer flexible sessions, whether at our office, via Telehealth or phone call, or at a suitable community location.

Standard appointment bookings are 60 minutes, with longer options available upon request.

Transparent Fees.

Our fee-for-service model starts at $175/hr (inc. GST), with scaled pricing available to those experiencing financial hardship. Please contact us for further information.

Below are some FAQs, but feel free to contact us if you have a more specific enquiry.

  • Yes, absolutely.

    We want to prioritise what makes you feel most comfortable.

    Where possible, please inform us if a support person will be attending prior to your appointment.

  • You can work towards your mental health goals with or without a Mental Health Care Plan from your GP.

    Please note: Mental Health Care Plans will not cover support cost with Verge as counselling sessions are fee-for-service.

  • There are many different pathways to get from where you are to where you want to be in life. In therapy, these ‘paths’ can be understood as the various kinds of approaches used, such as:

    • Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)

    • Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)

    • Solution Focused Therapy (SFT)

    • Person Centered Therapy (PCT)

    • Emotion Focused Therapy (EFT)

    • Gottman Couples Therapy (GMCT)

    • Narrative Therapy (NT)

    Some people prefer a ‘pure’ approach to therapy, while others appreciate the integration of several approaches.

    Ultimately however, no two people receive the exact same kind of therapy.

    This is because each therapeutic relationship is unique and is the most potent factor that contributes to healthy change! At Verge, we value this relationship above all else and seek to cultivate a safe, restorative environment for each person.
